In a large mixing bowl, combine tvorog, eggs, sugar, sour cream, semolina flour, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well until smooth. A hand mixer or food processor works best for achieving a creamy texture.
If using raisins, fold them into the mixture.
Step 2: Assemble and Bake
Pour the cheese mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
Place the dish in the oven and bake for 35-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the zapekanka is set in the center.
Step 3: Cool and Serve
Remove the zapekanka from the oven and let it cool for 10-15 minutes.
Slice into squares or wedges and serve warm or chilled.
