In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon (if using). Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until the batter is smooth.
Add Apples:
Fold in the chopped apples, making sure they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
Bake the Cake:
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
Cool and Serve:
Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar before serving if desired.
