Place the steak in the freezer for 30-45 minutes to firm it up (this makes slicing easier).
Once firm, slice the steak as thinly as possible, cutting against the grain for the best texture.
2. Sauté the Veggies:
Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add onions and cook for 5-7 minutes until softened and caramelized.
If using bell peppers and mushrooms, add them now and cook for another 3-4 minutes until tender.
Transfer the veggies to a plate and set aside.
