Traditional Namandier with Golden Sprinkled Almonds

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a round cake pan (8-9 inches) and line the bottom with parchment paper.
Step 2: Prepare the Almond Cake Batter
In a large bowl, combine the almond flour, powdered sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, melted butter, almond extract, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
Step 3: Toast the Almonds
In a small pan over medium heat, toast the sliced almonds for about 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently until they are golden brown. Keep a close eye to avoid burning them.
If desired, drizzle the toasted almonds with a small amount of honey and stir to coat them evenly for a glossy finish.
Step 4: Bake the Cake
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Sprinkle the toasted almonds evenly over the top of the cake.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cake is golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Step 5: Serve
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Once cooled, dust with a little powdered sugar for an extra touch of sweetness before serving.
