Prepare the mascarpone mixture:
In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the mascarpone cheese, Nutella, heavy cream, powdered sugar (if using), and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
Assemble the tiramisu:
Quickly dip each ladyfinger biscuit into the cooled coffee (do not soak them). Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a serving dish (a small trifle bowl works well).
Spread half of the Nutella mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
Add a second layer:
Repeat the process with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining Nutella mascarpone mixture.
Finish and chill:
Dust the top with cocoa powder for a classic tiramisu look.
Refrigerate the tiramisu for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld and set.
