These Homemade Biscuits Are Easier Than You Think!

Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Cut in the Butter:

Add the cold, cubed butter to the dry ingredients.

Use a pastry cutter or your fingertips to work the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs with pea-sized chunks of butter.

Add the Milk:

Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the milk.

Stir until just combined—don’t overwork the dough.

Shape the Biscuits:

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently pat it into a rectangle about 1-inch thick.

Using a biscuit cutter or a glass, cut out the biscuits and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Press the scraps together and cut out more biscuits until all the dough is used.

Bake:

Bake the biscuits in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown on top.

Serve:

Remove from the oven and let the biscuits cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm with butter, jam, or your favorite spread!
