The Coffee Gorditas That Will Change Your Snacks Forever!

Prepare the Coffee:
If you’re using instant coffee, dissolve it in a tablespoon of hot water. If you prefer brewed coffee, simply use a strong cup of coffee and let it cool a bit.

Mix the Dry Ingredients:
In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Add the Wet Ingredients:
In another bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and the prepared coffee. Mix until well combined.

Form the Dough:
Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until you have a soft dough. If the dough is too sticky, add a bit more flour until it’s manageable.

Shape the Gorditas:
Divide the dough into small portions and roll them into balls. Flatten each ball into a thick disk, about 1/2 inch thick. You can make them as large or small as you like.

Cook the Gorditas:
Heat a griddle or skillet over medium heat. Once hot, place the gorditas on the griddle and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Finish and Serve:
Remove the gorditas from the griddle and let them cool slightly. Dust with extra sugar for a sweet touch before serving.
