Stuffed Pepper Casserole – A Deconstructed Classic

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the Ground Beef:

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned and fully cooked (about 6-8 minutes).

Drain any excess fat and set the cooked beef aside.

Sauté the Vegetables:

In the same skillet, add the chopped onions and bell peppers.

Sauté for 4-5 minutes until the vegetables soften.

Combine the Ingredients:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, sautéed onions and bell peppers, cooked rice, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, garlic powder, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.

Stir well to combine all ingredients evenly.

Assemble the Casserole:
