Strawberry Banana Pudding – A Creamy Delight for Every Occasion

In a medium saucepan, combine 2 cups of milk, 1 cup of heavy cream, and 1/2 cup of sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is warm.

Thicken the Pudding:

In a small bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup of cornstarch and a few tablespoons of cold milk to make a smooth slurry. Gradually pour this mixture into the warm milk and cream mixture while stirring constantly.

Continue cooking and stirring until the pudding thickens, about 5-7 minutes. Once thickened, remove from heat.

Add Vanilla and Salt:

Stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 1/4 teaspoon of salt to enhance the flavor.

Layer the Pudding:

In a serving dish or individual cups, layer the vanilla wafer cookies, sliced bananas, and sliced strawberries.

Pour a layer of the thickened pudding over the fruits and cookies. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of pudding on top.

Chill the Pudding:

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until the pudding has fully set and is chilled.
