Sticky Honey Garlic Ribs: A Sweet and Savory Delight

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or foil. Season the ribs with salt and pepper. Cover them with foil and bake in the oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the ribs are tender.

Make the Honey Garlic Glaze:
While the ribs are cooking, combine the honey, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, apple cider vinegar (if using), and black pepper in a saucepan. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Let it cook for 5-7 minutes, or until it thickens slightly. If you want a richer flavor, add a teaspoon of sesame oil to the glaze and continue to simmer for another 2 minutes.

Coat the Ribs:
Once the ribs are cooked and tender, remove them from the oven and discard the foil. Brush the honey garlic glaze generously over both sides of the ribs. Return the ribs to the oven (uncovered) and bake for an additional 20-30 minutes, basting every 10 minutes with more glaze, until the ribs are sticky and caramelized.

Serve:
Once the ribs are done, remove them from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Slice between the bones and arrange on a platter. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, if desired, before serving.
