Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs and pat them dry with paper towels.
Season the Ribs:
Rub the ribs with olive oil, then generously season both sides with salt, pepper, and your desired dry seasonings (smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and chili powder).
Cook the Ribs:
Place the ribs on a large baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover the ribs tightly with foil.
Bake the ribs in the preheated oven for 2 ½ to 3 hours, or until they are tender and the meat easily pulls away from the bone.
Prepare the BBQ Sauce:
In a small saucepan, combine the BBQ sauce, honey, and apple cider vinegar. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened slightly (about 5-7 minutes).
Glaze the Ribs:
Remove the ribs from the oven and carefully discard the top layer of foil. Brush a generous amount of the BBQ glaze over the ribs.
Caramelize the Sauce:
Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and return the ribs to the oven, uncovered, for an additional 10-15 minutes, allowing the sauce to become sticky and caramelized. Alternatively, you can finish the ribs on the grill for a few minutes for added flavor.
Serve:
Remove the ribs from the oven, brush with more BBQ sauce if desired, and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
