Begin by cutting the steak into bite-sized cubes. Season generously with salt and pepper on all sides.
Cook the Steak:
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.
Once the oil is hot, add the steak cubes to the pan in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding the pan to ensure a nice sear.
Cook the steak for 3-4 minutes, turning the cubes occasionally to brown on all sides. For medium-rare steak, aim for a golden crust while keeping the inside tender and pink. Adjust the cooking time if you prefer your steak cooked more or less.
Make the Garlic Butter:
Lower the heat to medium and add the butter to the skillet with the steak.
Once the butter has melted, add the minced garlic and fresh thyme (if using). Sauté for 1-2 minutes, until the garlic is fragrant and golden, being careful not to burn it.
Toss and Coat the Steak:
Once the garlic butter is ready, toss the steak cubes in the butter, making sure each piece is coated in the delicious sauce.
Serve:
Remove the steak bites from the skillet and transfer them to a serving dish.
Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color and freshness.
Optionally, serve with lemon wedges on the side to squeeze over the steak for an added burst of flavor.
