Steak and Shrimp Scampi: A Luxurious Surf and Turf Delight

In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the linguine until al dente (about 7 minutes). Drain well and set aside.
2. Prepare the Shrimp Scampi:
In a large skillet over medium heat, add butter and olive oil.
Sauté the garlic and red pepper flakes for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the shrimp, salt, and pepper, and cook until the shrimp turn pink, about 5 minutes. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
Stir in white wine (or chicken broth) and lemon juice, cooking for about 1 minute.
Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the parsley.
Add the cooked linguine and shrimp back to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta and shrimp in the sauce.
3. Cook the Garlic Butter Steak:
Heat a large cast iron pan over high heat.
Season the steak with salt and pepper, and brush lightly with oil.
Cook the steak to your desired doneness (about 135°F for medium-rare or 140°F for medium).
Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for a few minutes.
While the steak rests, mix together butter and minced garlic.
Top the steak with the garlic butter, then slice against the grain.
4. Serve:
Divide the linguine and shrimp between two plates.
Top with the sliced steak, garnish with more parsley, and serve immediately.
