Steak and Shrimp Scampi: A Luxurious and Flavorful Feast

Preheat a grill or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
Season both sides of the steaks with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and fresh herbs (if using).
Sear the steaks for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or cook longer for your desired doneness. Let the steaks rest for a few minutes before serving.
2. Cook the Shrimp Scampi:

While the steaks are resting, heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes, turning once, until the shrimp are pink and cooked through.
Sprinkle in the red pepper flakes (if using) and season with salt and pepper.
3. Make the Scampi Sauce:

Once the shrimp are cooked, add the white wine (or chicken broth) to the skillet, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it reduce for 3-4 minutes.
Add the lemon juice and chopped parsley, stirring to combine. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper, and add lemon zest for extra flavor if desired.
4. Serve:

Plate the steaks and top them with the shrimp scampi. Spoon the garlic butter sauce from the skillet over the shrimp and steak for extra flavor.
Garnish with extra parsley and lemon wedges for a fresh touch.
