Spinach Bread Recipe: A Savory, Cheesy Delight

In a mixing bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
Add the flour, salt, butter, and egg to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
Knead the dough for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Step 2: Make the Spinach Filling
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
Sauté garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Add the spinach, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for 2-3 minutes until the spinach is wilted.
Remove from heat and stir in the mozzarella (or feta) and Parmesan. Let the mixture cool.
Step 3: Shape & Fill the Bread
For a stuffed loaf: Roll the dough out into a rectangle. Spread the spinach filling evenly over the dough, then roll it up into a log. Place the log in a greased loaf pan.
For rolls: Divide the dough into pieces, flatten them, fill with the spinach mixture, and roll them into spirals. Arrange them in a greased baking dish.
Cover and let the dough rise for another 30 minutes.
Step 4: Bake to Perfection
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with extra Parmesan on top.
