In a medium-sized saucepan, add the sugar over medium heat. Stir gently as the sugar begins to melt. Be careful not to burn it. Continue stirring until the sugar turns a rich amber color and is completely melted.
Add Butter:
Once the sugar has melted into a smooth caramel, add the butter. Stir until the butter is fully incorporated into the caramel. Be careful, as the mixture might bubble up when the butter is added.
Incorporate the Cream:
Gradually add the Olpers dairy cream (or your choice of full-fat cream) to the caramel sauce. Stir continuously until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Let it cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Simmer and Stir:
Once the caramel sauce reaches your desired consistency, remove it from the heat and allow it to cool slightly. The sauce will thicken as it cools.
