Ingredients:
8 oz spaghetti
2 tbsp olive oil
2 large eggs
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup ricotta cheese
1 cup marinara sauce
1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh basil for garnish
How to Make:
Cook the Spaghetti: Boil the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and toss with olive oil to prevent sticking. Let cool slightly.
Prepare the Crust: In a large bowl, whisk the eggs and Parmesan cheese together. Add the cooked spaghetti and mix until evenly coated. Press this mixture into a greased 9-inch pie dish to form the “crust.”
Make the Filling: In a skillet, cook the ground beef or Italian sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat and stir in marinara sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Assemble the Pie: Spread the ricotta cheese evenly over the spaghetti crust. Pour the meat sauce mixture on top and spread evenly. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top.
Bake: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the spaghetti pie for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve: Let the pie cool for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil and enjoy!
