Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
Add the ground chuck and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned and fully cooked (about 8–10 minutes). Drain any excess fat.
Step 2: Sauté the Vegetables
Add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil to the pan.
Sauté the chopped onions, green pepper, and minced garlic until softened and fragrant (about 5 minutes).
Step 3: Add the Tomatoes and Spices
Stir in the diced tomatoes, crushed tomatoes, and tomato sauce.
Add the garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, sweet basil, Italian seasoning, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
Step 4: Simmer the Sauce
Bring the sauce to a simmer over low heat.
Let it cook for 30–45 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the flavors have melded together and the sauce thickens. If you like a thicker sauce, you can let it cook longer.
Step 5: Adjust the Seasoning
Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if needed by adding more salt, pepper, or herbs.
