Soy Sauce Chicken: A Flavorful Feast

Prepare the Chicken: If the chicken is not already cut, divide it into halves or leave it whole. Rinse and pat it dry with paper towels to ensure the marinade sticks well.

Mix the Marinade: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, dark soy sauce, honey, and oyster sauce. Stir until the honey is fully dissolved into the sauce.

Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken in a large bowl or dish. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken, ensuring every part of the chicken is covered. Allow it to marinate for at least 30 minutes, or longer if possible, for more flavor.

Cook the Chicken:

Pan-frying option: Heat a bit of oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F).

Baking option: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the chicken on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 35-40 minutes, basting occasionally with the marinade until the chicken is fully cooked.

Serve: Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the heat. Serve it hot with steamed rice or vegetables. Drizzle the remaining sauce over the chicken for extra flavor.
