Let the custard cool completely before using.

Roll out your dough into a rectangle.
Spread an even layer of cooled custard over the surface.
Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut it into even slices.
Bake the Rolls (If Using Yeast Dough):
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place rolls in a greased baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
Let them cool slightly.
Coat in Coconut:
Once the rolls have cooled, brush them lightly with additional melted butter or a thin glaze.
Roll each roll in shredded coconut to coat the outside.
