Simple and Delightful Loaf Cake: A Sweet Treat for Any Occasion

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan (9×5 inches) or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
Mix Dry Ingredients:

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
Cream Butter and Sugar:

In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. You can use an electric mixer or a stand mixer for this step.
Add Eggs and Vanilla:

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Start and finish with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined to avoid overmixing.
Add Optional Ingredients:

If using any add-ins like nuts, chocolate chips, or dried fruit, fold them into the batter at this point.
Bake the Cake:

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. If the top starts to brown too quickly, cover it with aluminum foil and continue baking.
Cool and Serve:

Let the loaf cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve once cooled.
