Simple and Delicious Meat and Potato Casserole

Peel and chop the potatoes into chunks. Boil them in salted water until fork-tender, about 15 minutes.

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Mash the potatoes with butter, milk, eggs, and minced garlic until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 2: Cook the Meat Filling
In a skillet, cook the minced meat over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.

Add salt, pepper, and any optional ingredients like onions or bell peppers. Cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until fully cooked and seasoned to your liking.

Step 3: Assemble the Casserole
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

Spread the cooked meat evenly in the bottom of a casserole dish.

Spoon the mashed potatoes on top of the meat, spreading them out to cover completely.

Optional: Sprinkle some cheese on top for an extra golden crust if desired.

Step 4: Bake and Serve
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is heated through.

Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving.
