These mini bobotie meat pies bring the flavors of South Africa to your kitchen with a spiced filling wrapped in a golden, flaky pastry. A delicious twist on the classic bobotie, these handheld pies are perfect for a snack, appetizer, or main dish.

Ingredients
For the Filling:
1 lb (450g) ground beef or lamb

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon curry powder

1 teaspoon ground turmeric

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

1/4 cup raisins or sultanas (optional, for a sweet touch)

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup milk

1 egg (for binding)

Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Pastry:
