In a medium bowl, combine the sliced steak with soy sauce and cornstarch. Mix well and set aside to marinate for about 10 minutes.
Prepare the Sauce:
In a separate bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and beef broth. Set aside.
Cook the Noodles:
Boil the lo mein noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
Sear the Beef:
In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over high heat. Add the marinated beef and sear for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
Cook the Vegetables:
Add the remaining tablespoon of oil to the skillet. Stir-fry the onion, broccoli, carrots, and red bell pepper for 3–4 minutes until just tender. Stir in garlic and ginger, cooking for 1 minute more.
Combine Everything:
Return the beef to the skillet. Add the cooked noodles and the sauce. Toss everything together over medium heat until the sauce is evenly distributed and the dish is heated through, about 2–3 minutes.
Serve:
Plate immediately. Garnish with sesame seeds or chopped green onions if desired.
