Savory Bacon Onion Tomato Pie

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). If using a homemade pie crust, roll it out and fit it into a pie dish. Set aside.

2. Caramelize the Onions
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and sauté, stirring occasionally, until they become soft and golden brown, about 10 minutes.

3. Assemble the Pie
Arrange a layer of sliced tomatoes over the pie crust.
Spread the caramelized onions evenly over the tomatoes.
Sprinkle the crumbled bacon on top.
Evenly distribute the shredded mozzarella cheese.
Season with salt, pepper, and dried basil.
4. Bake
Place the pie in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

5. Cool and Serve
Let the pie cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
