In a large skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess grease.
Add the softened cream cheese to the skillet with the cooked sausage and stir until fully combined and creamy. If you like, mix in shredded cheddar cheese and garlic powder for extra flavor. Remove from heat and set aside to cool slightly.
Step 2: Roll Out the Crescent Dough
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Open the crescent roll dough and separate the triangles on a flat surface.
Step 3: Assemble the Crescents
Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the sausage and cream cheese mixture onto the wide end of each crescent triangle.
Carefully roll up each crescent, starting at the wide end and rolling toward the tip. Ensure that the filling stays inside as you roll it up.
Step 4: Bake the Crescents
Place the rolled-up crescents on an ungreased baking sheet, leaving space between each.
Brush the tops with olive oil or melted butter to help them bake to a golden brown.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown and crispy on the outside.
Step 5: Garnish and Serve
Remove the crescents from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.
Garnish with dried parsley for a pop of color, if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
