Saltine Toffee

Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare the Baking Sheet:

Line a baking sheet with foil. Arrange the Saltine crackers in a single layer on the sheet, covering as much of the surface as possible.
Make the Toffee:

In a saucepan, melt the unsalted butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Bring it to a simmer and let it cook for 2-3 minutes until it starts to bubble.
Pour the Toffee Mixture:

Once the toffee mixture is ready, pour it generously over the crackers, ensuring the crackers are evenly covered.
Bake:

Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 5 to 7 minutes, or until the toffee mixture is bubbly and has started to slightly caramelize.
Add the Chocolate:

Remove from the oven and quickly sprinkle the chocolate chips on top. Let them sit for about 2-3 minutes until the chocolate starts to melt.
Spread the Chocolate:

Once the chocolate is soft, use a spatula to spread it evenly over the crackers, covering the toffee layer.
Top with Pecans:

Finish by sprinkling the chopped pecans evenly over the melted chocolate.
Cool and Break Apart:

Let the toffee cool to room temperature, then break it into pieces.
