Reuben Crescent Bake: A Comforting Twist on a Classic Sandwich

Prepare the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.

Layer the Base: Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the baking dish, pinching the seams together to form an even crust.

Add the Filling:

Spread the Thousand Island dressing evenly over the dough.
Layer the chopped corned beef, followed by the sauerkraut and shredded Swiss cheese.
Sprinkle with caraway seeds if using.
Top It Off: Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and lay it over the filling. Pinch the edges together to seal, and brush the top with the beaten egg for a golden crust.

Bake: Bake for 20–25 minutes or until the crescent dough is golden brown and cooked through.

Cool and Slice: Let the bake cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing into squares or rectangles for serving.
