Red Snapper, Shrimp & Grits with a Cajun Cream Sauce

In a medium pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Stir in the grits and cook according to package instructions, stirring occasionally. Once thickened, add 1/2 cup of cream and cheddar cheese. Stir until smooth and creamy, then season with salt and pepper to taste.

2️⃣ Prepare the Red Snapper
Season the red snapper fillets with Cajun seasoning. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, sear the fillets for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked through and golden brown. Remove the snapper from the skillet and set aside.

3️⃣ Cook the Shrimp
In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until pink and opaque. Remove from the pan and set aside.

4️⃣ Make the Cajun Cream Sauce
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Add the remaining 1/2 cup of cream and chicken broth. Stir and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.

5️⃣ Assemble and Serve
Serve the red snapper fillets and shrimp over the creamy grits, then pour the Cajun cream sauce over the top. Garnish with fresh herbs or a sprinkle of extra Cajun seasoning for added flavor.
