Quick & Simple Puff Pastry Appetizer with Ham, Cheese, and Herbs

In a bowl, combine the chopped ham, minced garlic, grated cheese, chopped parsley, and chopped dill. Add a pinch of salt if desired.

Mix everything well and set aside.

Prepare the Puff Pastry:

Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F) and lightly grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil.

Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut it into squares or rectangles (depending on your preference).

Assemble the Appetizers:

Place a spoonful of the filling onto each piece of puff pastry.

Fold the pastry over the filling to create a pocket or a turnover shape. Press the edges to seal.

Brush and Bake:

Brush the top of each pastry with the beaten egg to give them a golden finish.

Drizzle a little melted butter on top for added flavor.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

Serve:

Once baked, remove from the oven and let them cool slightly.

Serve with sour cream on the side for dipping and a drizzle of chili sauce if you prefer a little heat.
