Puff Pastry Rolls with Ham, Cheese, and Garlic

Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare the garlic butter: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and salt. Set aside.
Roll out the puff pastry: On a floured surface, roll the puff pastry into a large rectangle, about 1/8 inch (3 mm) thick.
Spread the garlic butter: Brush the garlic butter mixture evenly over the surface of the puff pastry.
Layer the filling: Lay the sliced ham evenly across the pastry, followed by a generous sprinkling of grated cheese.
Roll and slice: Starting from one of the longer edges, tightly roll the puff pastry into a log. Use a sharp knife to slice the log into 1-inch (2.5 cm) thick rolls.
Prepare for baking: Place the rolls cut-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
Cool and serve: Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving warm.
