Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich

Heat 1 tbsp olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Season the thinly sliced ribeye steak with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
Once the skillet is hot, add the steak and cook for about 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the steak is browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Step 2: Sauté the Vegetables
In the same skillet, add 1 tbsp olive oil and heat over medium-high heat.
Add the sliced green bell pepper, onion, and mushrooms (if using). Sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until the vegetables are soft and slightly caramelized. Remove from heat.
Step 3: Assemble the Sandwich
Preheat the oven broiler to low.
Slice the hoagie rolls and spread a thin layer of softened butter on the cut sides.
Place the hoagie rolls under the broiler for about 1-2 minutes, until the edges are golden and crispy.
Layer the cooked steak onto the bottom half of each hoagie roll, followed by the sautéed vegetables.
Top with 2 slices of provolone cheese per sandwich.
Place the sandwiches under the broiler for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Step 4: Serve
Remove the sandwiches from the oven, slice in half, and serve immediately. Enjoy your delicious Philly Cheesesteak!
