Peach Cobbler Doughnuts

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Add the warm milk and melted butter, and mix until the dough comes together. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

2️⃣ Let the Dough Rise:
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours, or until it has doubled in size.

3️⃣ Make the Peach Filling:
In a small saucepan, combine the chopped peaches, brown sugar, cinnamon, cornstarch, and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the peaches soften and the mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.

4️⃣ Shape and Fry the Doughnuts:
Punch down the dough and roll it out on a lightly floured surface to about 1/2 inch thickness. Use a round cutter to cut out doughnut shapes. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the doughnuts in batches for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.

5️⃣ Fill the Doughnuts:
Once the doughnuts have cooled slightly, use a piping bag or a small knife to carefully create a hole in the center of each doughnut. Fill each doughnut with the peach filling.

6️⃣ Glaze the Doughnuts:
In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to create the glaze. Dip the top of each doughnut into the glaze, letting any excess drip off.
