Oyster Stew


In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and celery, and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Stir in the garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

Step 2: Add Milk and Simmer
Gradually pour in the milk, stirring constantly. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Be careful not to let it boil.

Step 3: Add Oysters and Seasonings
Add the oysters along with their liquid to the pot. Season with salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).

Cook the oysters for 3-4 minutes, until they curl around the edges.

Step 4: Finish the Stew
Remove the pot from heat and stir in fresh parsley. Adjust seasoning to taste.
