Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
Remove the ribs from their packaging and pat them dry with paper towels. Remove the silver skin (the thin membrane on the back of the ribs) for more tender results.
Season the Ribs:
Drizzle the ribs with olive oil and rub it in to coat evenly.
In a small bowl, mix together salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs, pressing it into the meat to ensure it sticks.
Cook the Ribs:
Place the seasoned ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper. Cover the ribs with another piece of foil to lock in moisture and prevent drying out.
Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the meat is tender and begins to pull away from the bones.
Glaze with Barbecue Sauce:
Remove the ribs from the oven and discard the top layer of foil. Brush your favorite barbecue sauce generously over the ribs.
Return the ribs to the oven and bake for an additional 20-30 minutes, uncovered, to allow the sauce to caramelize and thicken.
Serve:
Once the ribs are cooked and the sauce is set, remove them from the oven and let them rest for 5-10 minutes. Slice between the bones to serve and enjoy!
