Onion Beef Fried Rice

Prepare the Rice: Start with cold, day-old rice for the best texture. This will prevent the rice from clumping and will fry up nicely.

Cook the Beef: Heat a tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Sauté Aromatics: Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef. Cook for 2-3 minutes until softened and fragrant.

Add Vegetables: Stir in the mixed vegetables and cook for another 3-4 minutes, until they’re tender-crisp and heated through.

Combine with Rice: Add the cooked rice to the skillet, breaking up any clumps. Stir well to combine with the beef and vegetables.

Season: Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Stir everything together to coat the rice evenly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
