In a large bowl, combine 150g of all-purpose flour, a pinch of salt, and 50g of white sugar.
Slowly add 100g of hot water to the mixture, stirring continuously until a dough forms.
Knead the dough with your hands for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. If the dough is too sticky, sprinkle a little extra flour, but be careful not to add too much.
Divide and Roll the Dough:
Once your dough is ready, divide it into small equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball.
Using a rolling pin, roll each dough ball into a thin, round flatbread, dusting with a bit of flour as needed to prevent sticking.
Cook the Flatbreads:
Heat a non-stick pan or skillet over medium heat. Once hot, place a rolled-out flatbread onto the pan.
Cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side, or until light golden brown spots appear. You don’t need any oil or butter; the heat from the pan will do the job.
Flip the flatbread and cook the other side until it’s golden and slightly puffed up.
Serve:
Remove the cooked flatbread from the pan and keep it covered with a clean kitchen towel to retain heat. Repeat with the remaining dough balls.
Enjoy:
Serve your flatbreads warm with your favorite dipping sauce, curry, or enjoy them with cheese, herbs, or a bit of butter on top.
