In a large mixing bowl, dissolve the sugar in warm water. Sprinkle the yeast over the top and allow it to bloom for about 5-10 minutes, until it becomes foamy.
Add salt and flour to the yeast mixture. Stir until the dough starts to come together, then knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Cover the bowl with a clean cloth and allow the dough to rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours or until it doubles in size.
Shape the Bread:
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and shape it into a loaf that fits inside an egg carton. Lightly grease the egg carton with a bit of oil or non-stick spray before placing the dough inside.
Let the dough rest for another 20-30 minutes to rise again before baking.
