No-Bake Pumpkin Napoleon Dessert: The Trick to Creamy Perfection

Prepare the Pumpkin: Peel, chop, and steam or boil the pumpkin cubes until soft (about 10–15 minutes). Drain any excess water and mash the pumpkin until smooth.

Make the Pumpkin Cream: In a saucepan, combine the milk and cornstarch. Stir continuously over medium heat until the mixture thickens, forming a custard-like consistency. Once thickened, remove from heat.

Combine with Condensed Milk: Stir in the condensed milk, honey (if using), and cinnamon into the milk-cornstarch mixture. Add the mashed pumpkin and mix well until smooth and combined. You should have a thick, creamy pumpkin mixture.

Prepare the Layers: In a deep serving dish or individual cups, layer the pumpkin cream mixture and a handful of chopped walnuts. Repeat until all of the pumpkin cream mixture is used, finishing with a walnut layer on top for crunch and flavor.

Chill: Refrigerate the dessert for at least 2–3 hours to allow the flavors to meld together and the dessert to set.

Serve: Once chilled, serve in individual portions or slice into squares for a family-style dessert. Top with extra chopped walnuts or a dusting of cinnamon if desired.
