Ninja Cooker Teriyaki Chicken Thighs: A Family Favorite

Prepare the Teriyaki Sauce: In a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, brown sugar, garlic powder, ground ginger, and sesame oil. Stir well and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Let it cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves and the sauce thickens slightly.
Optional Thickening: If you want a thicker glaze, mix the cornstarch with 1 teaspoon of water to create a slurry. Add this to the sauce, stirring continuously for another 1-2 minutes until it thickens. Remove from heat and set aside.
Prep the Chicken Thighs: Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture. This will help them crisp up during cooking.
Cook in the Ninja: Preheat your Ninja Foodi or air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Place the chicken thighs in the basket or on the grill plate, skin side up. Cook for 18-22 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is crispy.
Glaze the Chicken: Once the chicken thighs are cooked, brush the teriyaki sauce over the top of the chicken. You can also drizzle some sauce over the chicken during the last few minutes of cooking for extra flavor.
Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve the chicken thighs with steamed rice, vegetables, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
