Naan Bread

Activate Yeast: In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Stir gently and let sit for about 5-10 minutes, or until frothy.

Prepare Dough: In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, baking powder, and milk powder. Add the yeast mixture, beaten egg, and milk to the flour mixture. Stir to combine. Knead the dough for 8-10 minutes until soft and smooth.

Let Dough Rise: Cover the dough with a damp cloth or plastic wrap and let it rise for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.

Shape the Naan: Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 6-8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and flatten it into an oval or round shape.

Cook the Naan: Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Cook each naan for about 2-3 minutes on one side until bubbles form. Flip and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.

Optional – Brush with Butter: For extra flavor, brush the cooked naan with melted butter or garlic butter.
