Mini Brown Butter Peach Tarts Recipe

Prepare the Brown Butter: In a small skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Allow the butter to cook, swirling the pan occasionally, until it turns golden brown and gives off a nutty aroma (about 4-5 minutes). Remove from heat and stir in the brown sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until fully combined. Set aside to cool slightly.

Prepare the Puff Pastry: Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut the pastry into 4 equal squares or rounds (depending on your preference or tart pan size). Transfer the pieces to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Assemble the Tarts: Brush the edges of each pastry piece with the beaten egg for a golden finish. Spoon a little of the brown butter mixture onto the center of each piece. Then, arrange the sliced peaches on top, slightly overlapping them for a beautiful effect.

Bake: Bake the tarts in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden and crispy and the peaches are tender.

Finish and Serve: Once baked, remove the tarts from the oven. Let them cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar if desired. Serve warm or at room temperature.
