Meltingly Soft and Delicious Scones

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

Cut in the Butter: Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, cut the cold butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Add the Milk: Pour in the milk and stir gently with a fork until the dough just begins to come together. Be careful not to overmix.

Form the Dough: Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead it just a few times to bring it together. Pat the dough into a round disk about 1-inch thick.

Cut the Scones: Use a sharp knife to cut the dough into 8 wedges or use a round biscuit cutter for round scones.

Bake the Scones: Place the scones on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown on top.

Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let the scones cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with butter, jam, or clotted cream!
