Melt-in-Your-Mouth Butter Cookies

In a bowl, beat the butter and powdered sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
Mix Dry Ingredients:

Sift together the flour, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until a soft dough forms.
Chill the Dough:

Shape the dough into a log, wrap it in plastic wrap, and chill it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Chilling helps the dough firm up, making it easier to slice.
Slice & Bake:

Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Slice the chilled dough into ½-inch rounds and place them on a lined baking sheet.
Bake for 12–15 minutes until the edges of the cookies are slightly golden.
