Lemongrass Tea: A Simple Recipe for a Refreshing Drink

Prepare the Lemongrass:

If using fresh lemongrass, peel away the tough outer layers.

Cut the tender inner stalks into 2-3 inch pieces and gently crush them with a knife to release the essential oils.

Boil:

Place the prepared lemongrass in a pot with the water.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5-10 minutes to infuse the flavor.

Strain and Serve:

Once the tea has reached your desired strength, remove it from heat.

Strain out the lemongrass pieces and pour the tea into a cup.

Optional: Add honey or a squeeze of lemon for extra flavor.
