Layered Chocolate Dream Cake: A Decadent Delight for Every Occasion

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease three 8-inch (20cm) round cake pans. Line the bottoms with parchment paper.
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Add Wet Ingredients: Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined. Slowly add boiling water, stirring until the batter is smooth.
Bake the Cake: Divide the batter evenly among the prepared pans. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Prepare the Frosting: Beat the butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar and cocoa powder, alternating with heavy cream, until the frosting is fluffy and spreadable. Mix in vanilla extract.
Assemble the Cake: Place one cake layer on a serving plate. Spread a generous layer of frosting on top. Repeat with the second and third layers, frosting the sides and top evenly.
Garnish and Serve: Decorate with chocolate shavings, berries, or whipped cream. Chill for 30 minutes before slicing for cleaner cuts.
