Cover the skillet and cook for an additional 5-10 minutes, allowing the sausages to heat through and the flavors to meld together.
If desired, garnish with fresh basil or parsley. Serve as-is or place the sausages and peppers into hoagie rolls or with crusty bread for a delicious sandwich.
