Italian Meatball Cheese Fries: A Deliciously Savory Comfort Food

Preheat your oven and cook the frozen French fries according to the package instructions, or fry your homemade fries until golden and crispy. Set them aside.
Make the Meatballs:

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef or pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together until well combined.
Roll the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
In a large skillet, heat a bit of oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook them until browned on all sides, about 6-8 minutes. Once browned, add the marinara sauce to the skillet and simmer for another 5-7 minutes, until the meatballs are cooked through and coated with the sauce.
Assemble the Fries:

Once the fries are cooked and crispy, place them on a serving platter or large baking dish.
Spoon the meatballs and marinara sauce over the fries, spreading them out evenly.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the meatballs and fries.
Melt the Cheese:

Place the platter under a broiler for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Keep an eye on it to avoid burning.
Garnish and Serve:

Once the cheese has melted, remove the dish from the oven. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
