300 g bacon, chopped
50 g butter, for cooking
1 kg potatoes, peeled and cubed
Salt, to taste
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 head of cabbage, chopped
2–3 green onions, sliced
Fresh parsley and dill, chopped (to taste)
Black pepper, to taste
250 ml milk
30 g butter, extra for mash
200 g cheese, grated (cheddar or your choice)
100 g crackers, crushed
30 g panko breadcrumbs
50 g melted butter, for topping
