Hot Honey Halloumi Sandwich Recipe

Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil.
Fry the halloumi slices for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Sauce:

In a small bowl, mix the hot honey with freshly squeezed lemon juice. Stir until well combined.
Prepare the Mayo Spread:

In another bowl, combine mayonnaise, grated garlic, and Calabrian chili paste (if using). Stir well to create a flavorful spread.
Assemble the Sandwich:

Toast the ciabatta bread lightly.
Spread a layer of the spicy mayo on both slices of bread.
Layer the halloumi slices, fresh basil, heirloom tomato slices, and baby spinach on one slice of the bread.
Drizzle with the hot honey mixture.
Optionally, add prosciutto or Salame Toscano for extra richness.
Serve:

Top with the second slice of bread and serve warm. Enjoy the balance of heat, sweetness, and savory flavors!
